The Creative Connections programme will recruit 10-12 participants.   The programme will be a combination of shared reading and reminiscence writing.  The programme will use storytelling combined with semi-structured, psychology-led discussions to improve participants’ emotional wellbeing.   For the first half of the session a trained facilitator will read a poem or story based around themes of reminiscence and will encourage discussion among the group.  In the second half of the session, participants will work with facilitator to capture memories connected to the theme of the story.  These are collated each week along with photos or mementos from the participant/family to be added to a memory book that each participant will take home at the end of the programme.

In the final week participants will showcase their final books they created providing opportunity for discussion and reflection on the sessions.  Participants can invite family and friends and celebrate their achievements across the programme.
